aarti is a hindu religious ritual of worship in which light from wicks soaked in ghee. it is derived from the sanskrit word aratrika which means something that removes ratri better known as darkness. it involves circulating the plate or lamp and accompanied by singing hymns. the purpose of waving the wicks is before the deities is to show humility and gratitude and faithful followers are immersed in God's divine form. This ritual is generally performed one to five times daily. it is also performed during all hindu occasions and Ceremonies.
puja is a form of daily prayer. It can be performed anywhere and in any setting. Most commonly it is done in the home or temples to mark certain stages of life and events such as marriage, the birth of a baby, or the beginning of a new venture. Puja varies according to the school of hinduism and can be performed in many different manners. foods, fruits, and sweets may be included as part of an offering to the deity.

Navaratri is divided into sets of three days to adore different aspects of the supreme goddess. On the first three days, the Mother is invoked as powerful force called Durga in order to destroy all our impurities, vices and defects. The next three days, the Mother is adored as a giver of spiritual wealth,lakshmi, who is considered to have the power of bestowing on her devotees the inexhaustible wealth. The final set of three days is spent in Worshiping the mother as the goddess of wisdom, saraswati. In order have all-round success in life, we need the blessings of all three aspects of the divine mother.
